You could go to a show for  $40 at the Ogden (and you  should), but you can also see  local CU Denver artists FREE on campus. Every semester, the College of Arts & Media (CAM) brings a series of live music opportunities to CU Denver’s campus.

The next opportunity for free live music comes from Lynx Music Fest, formerly known as CAM Ensemble Festival. CU Denver students from Music & Entertainment Studies (MEIS) courses come together to perform what they’ve been working on throughout the semester.


“Lynx Music Fest is a great opportunity to hear the diverse array of music at CU Denver, from singer/songwriters to pop/rock, electronic to bluegrass, a cappella to Latin/jazz, and many more, all in one day. It's amazing. These are performance classes – ensembles – in the music school, and students are expressing themselves in creative and passionate ways,” said Owen Kortz, MEIS Faculty.

While performing can be a daunting task for some, honing performance skills is a pertinent task for any live musician. Students get to showcase their talents for the public and fellow classmates in the most convenient location possible: Tivoli Turnhalle.

Lynx Music Fest is totally free and open to everyone. Whether you’re a student at CAM, the Business School, a CU Denver alum, or a high school student interested in local music, you can stop by the Tivoli Turnhalle on Monday, November 18^th between 9am and 9pm.
