CAM STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Purpose
The College of Arts & Media has a scholarship opportunity for current CAM students planning to be enrolled for the Spring 2026 semester. Students who are currently enrolled in courses at CU Denver, who are first generation students, and pursuing an undergraduate degree with the College of Arts & Media are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Cumulative GPA ≥ 2.8
• Undergraduate
• Must be enrolled in a CAM program
• Will be enrolled in classes for Spring 2026 semester

Purpose
The Deborah and Larry Melnick Scholarship benefits undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver. Preference will be given to students in a Fine Arts program. If selected for this award you may be required to submit a letter of appreciation to the donor.

$500 – $1,000

Requirements

• GPA ≥ 3.5
• Must be enrolled in a CAM program – Fine Arts program preferred
• Permanent residence must be in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, & Wyoming.

Purpose
The CAM Scholarship Fund is intended to provide support to students in the College of Arts & Media (majors include Visual Arts, Music, or Film) at the University of Colorado Denver.

$1,000 – $2,000

Requirements

• Credit Hours Completed ≥ 12
• Cumulative GPA ≥ 3.5
• Undergraduate
• Must be enrolled in a CAM program
• First Generation College Student Preferred

Purpose
The LYNX Camp Alumni Scholarship fund is for students who attended the LYNX National Arts & Media Camps as high school students and are now incoming freshman CU Denver College of Arts & Media students.

Up to $1,250

• Must be enrolled in a CAM program
• Must have attended a LYNX National Arts & Media Camp

Purpose
The Film & Television Scholarship Fund exists to provide scholarship support for students enrolled in the Film & Television Department in the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver.

• Must be enrolled in the Film and Television Program
• GPA ≥ 3.0
• Completed ≥ 12 credit hours
• Must be enrolled full-time

Purpose
The Incoming Freshman Film Scholarship is intended to provide support to promising students in the Department of Film & Television within the College of Arts & Media.

Purpose
The Tashiro Endowed A Cappella Scholarship is intended to provide scholarships to students enrolled as Music majors, who commit to sing in either Lark or 9th Street Singers for at least the full academic year they are awarded the scholarship.

• Must be committed to sign in either Lark or 9th Street Signers for a full academic year

Purpose
The Mike Barney Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships in the College of Arts & Media to students pursuing a BS in Music in the Recording Arts in memory of Mike Barney. The award will be $2,000 divided equally between fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to apply students must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

The Incoming Freshman Film Scholarship is intended to provide support to promising students in the Department of Film & Television within the College of Arts & Media.

Purpose
The Vocal Music Scholarship is intended to provide scholarships to students enrolled as Music majors, who commit to sing in either Lark or 9th Street Singers for at least the full academic year they are awarded the scholarship.

The Donna Bogard Scholarship in Voice is available to eligible students enrolled as Music majors with Voice as their principal instrument at the College of Arts & Media at University of Colorado

The Incoming Freshman Music Scholarship is intended to provide support to promising students in the Department of Visual Arts within the College of Arts & Media.

• Must be an incoming freshman enrolling in the Visual Arts program.

Purpose
Provides scholarship support for students in the Master of Science in Media Forensics program. Scholarships are awarded to students who are focused on the importance of ethics in media forensics. If selected for this award you will be required to write a letter of appreciation to the donor.
