The Colorado High School Film Festival is back for year two in 2025! The festival is an oportunity for high school filmmakers to showcase their films and win prizes. We are currently accepting submissions for the 2025 film festival through January 1st, 2025.
The 2025 Colorado High School Film Festival will take place on Friday March 7th, 2025 from 12:00-5:00pm on the CU Denver campus (Auraria campus) in the Tivoli Theater. The event is free and open to the public. We encourage local high school film instructors to bring their students to the event.
In addition to the film festival on March 7th, the College of Arts & Media will also be hosting a Film & Television Department Open House from 9am-12pm prior to the film festival. Register for the Open House here!
There will be exciting prizes for all of winning films such as film gear and time to use studio space. In addition, every student whose film is chosen to screen during the Colorado High School Film Festival will receive a $200 scholarships to attend one of our 2025 LYNX National Arts & Media Camps. The LYNX Camps are summer camp programs for high school students. The camps are taught by CAM faculty and are great prviews of the college degree programs at the CU Denver College of Arts & Media.

The College of Arts & Media hosted the inaugural Colorado High School Film Festival on March 9, 2024. Thank you to everyone who submitted films to the competition and attended the festival! We screened over 40 films and announced 3 winners.
