Digital Design is a nationally-ranked, screen-based graphic design program integrating aesthetic, creative, and critical thinking with expertise in advanced electronic media. Configured as an interdisciplinary art and design laboratory, Digital Design offers a hands-on art school education in graphic design, interactive media, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, motion graphics, and branding design.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, the Digital Design program produces artists and designers who will use technology in innovative ways and promotes an understanding of the cultural impact and uses of digital technologies. Students will be prepared for as future designers and art directors entering the field on the cutting edge of electronic design.
Digital Design grads often work as graphic designers, UX and UI designers, motion graphic artists for film and television, video editors, game designers, and artists and art directors for advertising, non-profits, marketing, communication and branding. Digital Design alums currently work in startups, agencies and Fortune 500 firms such as IBM, Mercedes-Benz, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Hewlett Packard, Craftsy, Mozilla, Fruition, Dire Wolf, Unity and JILA. Further, the skills acquired through the Digital Design degree are transferable to almost any medium in visual arts.
