Brian Prendergast is a graduate of the Master of Science in Media Forensics program at the University of Colorado Denver and has returned to the National Center for Media Forensics (NCMF) as a Lecturer. As an alumnus of the program, he is committed to giving back to the digital forensics community by sharing the knowledge, experience, and practical skills he has developed throughout his career while helping prepare the next generation of forensic practitioners.
Prendergast has more than 15 years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, and cybersecurity consulting. He currently serves as a Director within Kroll's Cyber & Data Resilience practice, where he leads complex digital forensics and incident response engagements involving ransomware, data breaches, insider threats, business email compromise, and a broad range of other cyber incidents. As part of his work at Kroll, he specializes in advising clients on the forensic analysis and authentication of audio, video, and digital imagery in support of legal, corporate, and investigative matters.
