Film & Television at CU Denver is a hands-on opportunity to write the script, edit the film, operate the camera, and tell the story. Under the guidance of leading industry professionals, students work on a variety of projects, including short films, web series’, documentaries, digital effects, and TV studio production. The cohort model of the program builds strong relationships and allows students to work as a team that emulates real-world film & television production.
From landing jobs at NBCUniversal to winning Academy Awards, CU Denver Film & Television alumni prove that passion and practice lead to success. They are working as independent filmmakers, in corporate communications, in documentary film, with TV stations and networks, and in post-production studios. Students graduate with a professional portfolio, which includes personal film projects and work as a team producing a web series that has won recognition at the L. A. Web Series Festival. Graduates of the program have been nominated for Emmy Awards and receive international acclaim for their work in television, film, and documentary.

All students interested in pursuing the Film & Television degree must first be admitted to CU Denver. Once admitted, there is a secondary application required for the Film & Television Program applicants.
