Questions
1. What do you hope to work on during your time in SGA?
I want to become a link between students and administration so that our student voices are represented and heard. I also hope to create a strong connection between the different departments in CAM through different avenues of collaboration. And during my time in SGA, I hope to become the best advocate for the students and faculty within the College of Arts and Media.
2. What drew you to CAM and your choice of study?
As a musician and performer, every college that I looked at focused solely on the principles of classical music. I wanted a program that specifically honed in on my skills as a contemporary musician, and that’s when I came across CU Denver and CAM. The fact that they offer a recording arts program was one of the main reasons why I decided to come to CU Denver.
3. What do you like about living in Denver? What is something you wished you knew before you came here?
I like that I’m just in the heart of the city. There’s so much to do, so many places to explore, so much food that I have access to. I also love that Denver is such a diverse city.
I personally wish I knew how to work and use the RTD services. I’ve had to learn as I went because I don’t have a car in the city, but I wished I could’ve known I could utilize the public transit in Denver my first year.
4. If you could go on any study abroad trip offered through CAM, which would you choose? Why?
I would definitely do a semester abroad in Malaysia. Being able to experience a different culture and environment while still studying what I love is an opportunity of a lifetime. Plus, the country looks absolutely beautiful.
5. Tell us something most people don’t know about you.
I have an irrational fear of escalators. I can still use them, but I always have to watch my step because I’m scared my shoelace is going to get caught or something. I blame watching Final Destination when I was four without parental supervision.
