CAM FACULTY DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

PURPOSE OF CAM FACULTY DEVELOPMENT GRANTS
Faculty grants programs serve full-time faculty at CU Denver College of Arts & Media (CAM). The purpose of the CAM Faculty Development Grant (FDG) Program is to:

1.) Support tenure-track/tenured faculty and clinical teaching track faculty in their research, creative and scholarly work, professional development and teaching activities.

2.) Support full-time instructors in their teaching and learning, and professional development.

3.) Increase CAM visibility regionally, nationally and internationally.

4.) Support and prepare faculty to receive competitive national grants by providing seed funding for larger projects, grant-seeking support, and opportunities for peer review.

 The annual budget allocation for Faculty Development Grants is determined by the Dean.

Grant Preparation Assistance: CAM’s Associate Dean for Research, Collaboration, and Innovation, Laurie Baefsky, is available to review all applications and discuss your projects in advance of all funding submissions.

REPORTING AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

If you are funded, you must acknowledge the College of Arts & Media in all print and online materials and include the CAM logo where appropriate. Please review the guidelines and requirements for outcome reporting.

OTHER CU DENVER GRANT RESOURCES

The CU Denver Office of Research Services (ORS) has discretionary funding to encourage and support creative activities on the downtown campus. They are committed to awarding such funds to increase faculty productivity and to enhance CU Denver’s reputation. All ORS grants require matching funding from CAM, between 20%-100% match.

Center for Faculty Development

  • Young Upwardly Mobile Professor (YUMPS) Grants Young Upwardly Mobile Professor (YUMPS). $500/year. Tenure-track faculty. Rolling deadline.  YUMPs grants provide support to tenure-track faculty at the University of Colorado Denver (downtown) for activities that advance them toward tenure. Funded activities can include: attending professional conferences, hiring a research assistant, or buying books/software. YUMP applicants apply for matching funds through the CAM Faculty Development Seed Grant.

 

Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Grants

  • 2019-20 Comcast Media and Technology Center (CMTC) Faculty Research Fellows Program

    ELIGIBILITY: OPEN TO ALL CU DENVER FULL-TIME FACULTY (includes Instructors)
    Application for the CMTC Research Fellows Program Deadline: July 21

  • 2019-20 Office of Research Services (ORS) CRC Interdisciplinary Fellowship

ELIGIBILITY: OPEN TO ALL CU DENVER FULL-TIME FACULTY with RESEARCH in their contracts (tenured, tenure-track, clinical track. Instructors are not eligible).
Application for the ORS CRS Interdisciplinary Fellowship Deadline: June 21

  • CAM Diversity Grant for Students: $500 for one student from each department.
           ELIGIBILITY: College of Arts & Media Students
           
    Application for CAM Diversity Grant Deadline: November 1
