Illustration Curriculum Maps

Below you will find the maps for students enrolled in the BFA Illustration program. Choose the map by the tabs below, the first map is for students who are enrolling as freshmen in Fall of 2020. The tabs to the right are sample schedules for students currently enrolled. An accelerated option is available after talking with your CAM advisor and illustration faculty.

It’s important to note, this map is for planning and informational purposes only. Consult with your CAM Advisor for details on your exact academic plan and expected graduation date.
Accelerated option
Transfer students may choose to apply for an accelerated program (in the tab above) that collapses the Junior and Senior year into a single year. This can allow you to complete the program a year earlier than otherwise.

To apply, consult with an Illustration professor and your CAM advisor before April 1st of your Sophomore year and prior to starting your Junior year. When you apply, you will be required to submit the following materials and information:

  • A full-time Illustration professor must agree to sponsor your application
  • Have an online portfolio of your Illustration work
  • Have conducted a degree audit with the CAM Advising Office
Once accepted as an accelerated graduate, you can reference the Accelerated Curriculum map (in the tab above).

Note: the accelerated option is only for the Junior/Senior year, prior to that the courses are sequenced and build off each other. There is no option to combine semesters prior to your Junior year.
