This prestigious award recognizes a member of the CU Denver community—encompassing administration, faculty, and staff—who has made significant contributions to shared governance and faculty leadership at CU Denver.
"Dr. Schrader has done incredible work chairing the FC Personnel and Benefits Committee, which advocates for faculty in a range of policies, including those on salaries and housing benefits, in the CU System,” said Maria Buszek, Professor of Art History. “It makes me proud to see colleagues from across the entire university single out and celebrate this work."
Schrader's dedication to advancing faculty governance and his impactful work within CAM and the CU Denver academic community have earned him this well-deserved recognition. Schrader serves on the Academic Personnel Committee, which supports Faculty Assembly in reviewing policies and recommending best practices in personnel matters. He has used his experience to inform his work as chair in 2022-2024 of the University of Colorado Faculty Council’s Personnel and Benefits Committee.
Art History Senior Instructor Beth Pugliano and Assistant Dean of Business & Operations Karen Ludington were recognized with this same award last academic year, for their significant contributions as part of the Instructional, Research, and Clinical (IRC) Faculty Task Force. Their efforts played a crucial role in developing an ambitious plan to recognize, incorporate, and compensate our IRC faculty more fully.
“It’s an honor to receive this award,” Schrader said. “The members of Faculty Assembly are a fantastic team and bring their expertise and enthusiasm to the university.”
