The Director of Video Game Art & Design search open forums will take place on Tuesday, June 21 via Zoom. Sean McGowan will moderate by introducing the candidates, providing a prompt, and then facilitating a Q&A session.
Following each session, feedback forms will be distributed to each attendee. Here’s a reminder of the search timeline:
Reminders of the need for this proposed degree: a) offset some of the small and low enrolled programs, b) offset some resistance to medium and large class sizes, c) CAM needs large enrollment increases by 2030,d)the entire university is going to grow headcount—CAM needs to be a part of that, e) the video game industry is huge—and growing, f) Hanover Research did an environmental study—that was highly favorable, for CAM to launch this sort of program, g) faculty have been involved in the development of this at every point, h) a site visit to the Rochester Institute of Technology included faculty, staff, and CAM community partners--provided information about the different units and disciplines needed for video game programs.
