CU Denver in Czech Republic: Recording Studio in Prague

Summer 2019

In the city of a thousand spires, students spent Maymester 2019 immersed in the music and culture of Prague. While walking the streets that Dvorak, Mozart, and Beethoven called home, they participated in seven immersive recording and mix sessions, learning music production and recording in a city full of culture and musical legacy.

Associate Professor of Recording Arts at CU Denver, Sam McGuire, led this educational experience into the heart of Europe's musical epicenter. Inspired by his own experiences, travels, and professional pathways, McGuire curated a trip that changed the context of the way students experience music, education, and the world around them.
