Gesina Null, Art History & Photography
Jan 18, 2021
Gesina Null has made her mark on the CU Denver and front range community as a scholar, entrepreneur, and civic volunteer. A 4.0, non-traditional student, Gesina returned to her studies after taking time from school to start her own successful portrait studio, Gesina Marie Photography (link in bio). Her Art History Thesis examined the varying influence of Mendicant Catholic orders on Mesoamerican Christian art, which earned the all-around 2nd Place Award at the university-wide Research and Creative Activities Symposium in the Arts and Humanities division. She is also recognized for not only giving her all to her coursework, but also her community. As an active volunteer, Gesina has served as a Photography Mentor to students at Arapahoe Community College, photographed pro-bono for the non-profit Healthier Colorado and needy Littleton families, and donated time and resources to the Front Range non -profits North Littleton Promise, Community Leadership & Development Inc. (CLDI), Operation Underground Railroad, and HER Campaign.
