CAM students help lift CU Denver Alumni Awards to a virtual evening of celebration and accomplishment
Students from all three departments lent their talents to the production and entertainment of the event
CAM Communications | The College of Arts & Media Jun 29, 2020CU Denver honored five alumni on June 17 at the 2020 Alumni Awards and students from the College of Arts & Media (CAM) were thrilled to play an integral role in the production of the virtual celebration. As the ceremony pivoted to an outline platform, CAM students from Film & Television, Music & Entertainment Industry Studies, and Visual Arts were matched with each awardee to create a video to share a few words and highlight how CU Denver has shaped their lives.
Film student, Fayth Krause, was matched with Barb Weiske (’84, MPA ’92), former CEO of the Auraria Higher Education Center, who received the Mack Easton Distinguished Alumni Award. Check out her video below!
The Alumni Awards ceremony, which took place on Zoom, attracted nearly 100 attendees and brought the university and alumni communities together in a welcome atmosphere of celebration. Sister Neapolitan, comprised of music student Alana Margolis and new alumni Megan Ellsworth and Katie Smith, lent their voices as entertainment for the evening.
