CAM Assistant Dean of Business & Operations, Karen Ludington, selected to join University of Colorado's Excellence in Leadership Program
Jul 6, 2021Karen Ludington, Assistant Dean of Business & Operations, of the College of Arts & Media (CAM) joins an elite cohort as fellow in University of Colorado’s Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP).
The 2021-2021 ELP is sponsored by CU top administration and consists of a yearlong CU system-wide leadership development program along with accompanying sessions for CU Denver and CU Anschutz ELP Fellows. The program is an assembly of system-wide activities with participants from across the university and complementing campus-based sessions. Sessions and activities that cross all four CU campuses– Anschutz, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Denver– allows participants to meet and interact with other emerging leaders across the university system.
As Assistant Dean of Business & Operations at CAM, Ludington, manages a $12M budget, supports 150 faculty and staff who serve over 1,300 students and works with facilities support for 12 buildings. She has been selected for this cohort because of her impact on the CU Denver Community.
“Karen Ludington is highly deserving of this honor,” says Laurence Kaptain, Dean of CAM. “She has a firm understanding of the special nature of training, research, creative work and service in the creative industries—and has established herself as a leader on the CU Denver Campus among her peer Senior Business administrators.”
