As the College of Arts & Media (CAM) leans into becoming an equity serving institution, we are pleased to announce expanded opportunities to see, celebrate, and reward our community for work that lies at the intersection of social justice, the vision, mission, and values of the College, and the Strategic Plan 2030. As such, this year the adjudication panel will consider awarding multiple prizes to seed and celebrate EDI work by staff and faculty (across all title series and ranks).
SEED EQUITY AWARDS ($5,000)
This award seeds efforts that increase awareness of disparities within and across systems, inspire positive change, and work toward creating a more hopeful, just world. The award recognizes work unfolding during the current and/or upcoming academic year that holds significant potential for impact or change within the college or within our community.
CELEBRATE EQUITY AWARDS ($2,500)
This award celebrates efforts that have increased awareness of disparities within and across systems, inspire positive change, and work toward creating a more hopeful, just world. The award recognizes work that has unfolded since the previous year’s award that significantly impacted or changed the landscape of equity, diversity, or inclusion within the college or within our community.
Project proposals (for both SEED and CELEBRATE) will be evaluated based on the breadth, depth, impact and feasibility for expanding knowledge, awareness, and perspectives, or nudging systems, ecosystems, policies, practices, and priorities toward becoming more open, accepting, and embracing of cultural, ethnic, racial, class, abilities, gender, sexual orientation, and other human differences.
2022-2023 Adjudication Panel
We are seeking CAM Community Members to serve on the Adjudication Panel. All faculty and staff members are eligible to serve. To express interest, please email Sara Walpole (sara.walpole@ucdenver.edu) with a short statement about why serving as an adjudicator would be meaningful for you.
