Veronica Herrera's love of color, pattern, installation art and organic forms began in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas where she obtained a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Drawing at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1997. Veronica then taught at the University of Colorado Boulder until completing her Masters of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. She since taught as adjunct faculty at Arapahoe Community College, Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University, University of Colorado Boulder, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and Regis University. Veronica currently is a part-time lecturer at University of Colorado Denver where she has been teaching for over 18 years. She has exhibited her work nationally. Some notable places of exhibit are The Museo de Las Americas, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, CU Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of Art Fort Collins.
