Pablo is a Cuban cinematographer and an FAA-certified drone pilot. He has worked in the film industry since 2011, alongside several renowned film directors from Cuba and around the world. Among them: Alejandro Perez, Alfredo Ureta, Manuel Herrera, and Ernesto Daranas.
Pablo's favorite hobbies as a child were photography and airplanes. Being a drone pilot combines his two biggest passions. Pablo is not only an exceptional aerial cinematographer, but he is also highly motivated. To him, flying is more than a job, it is a way to express as an artist.
Mr. Perez has also engaged in teaching and research since 2015. He has coordinated and promoted internship programs in Cuba that allowed college film students to work on independent productions under his mentorship and gain valuable work experience. He has taught workshops on camera gimbals, lighting, aerial cinematography, wireless transmission, and advanced film equipment.
Pablo enjoys teaching and watching students' progress. He is honored to be a Cinematography Professor at the University of Colorado, Denver.
