Michael Miller is a screenwriter with roots in sketch comedy writing, performing, and Late-Night Television. In addition to teaching at the University of Colorado, he is a visiting lecturer at the Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara and the University of Denver.
Michael took the long path to screenwriting, building ski resorts and leading a technology company as CEO, prior to discovering screenwriting. It is this breadth of experiences, in combination with his overactive imagination, that he uses in writing.
Michael began his writing journey at the Second City in Chicago, after which he wrote and performed for stage. He wrote for Late Night Television and Laff TV. Michael attended both UCLA’s Professional Program in Writing for Television and Screenwriting, where his first feature was recognized with the Nate Wilson Joie De Vivre Honorable Mention.
Michael’s work celebrates the resiliency of the human spirt and focuses on creating character driven, emotionally impactful stories. His screenplays and teleplays have received numerous accolades. He is currently working on a feature length elevated holiday comedy.
