Stephanie Kornick has written for television, theatre and film in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. She wrote on Amazon's Emmy and Golden Globe Award-Winning TV show “Transparent” and has since developed her own TV shows with various networks and studios such as HBO and Universal Content Productions (UCP). Her biopic feature film Candy Darling is currently in pre-production. Stephanie previously worked on the support staff of TV shows like Showtime’s United States of Tara, NBC’s Are You There, Chelsea? and ABC’s Mistresses. Her play Small Talk premiered in Los Angeles at The Lex Theatre and was subsequently staged in Chicago at Greenhouse Theater Center. Stephanie has a background in theatre performance and improv, studying with Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City and performing with ComedySportz New York. She previously taught at Writing Pad. Stephanie has an MFA in Screenwriting and Playwriting from Northwestern University and a BA in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College.
