In spring of 2020, the College of Arts & Media (CAM) student body elected Shawntisha Bailey as their Student Government Association (SGA) representative.

SGA representatives serve as the liaison between students and university and college administration. As an out-of-state student from Oregon, Shawntisha is starting her third year in CAM's nationally ranked Music Business program. She is a Law Studies minor whose professional goal is to pursue a career as a Music and Entertainment lawyer.

"I will be accessible to the students of CAM," says Shawntisha. "Their voices need to be heard by those in leadership."

Shawntisha has a track record of providing leadership within the college– since 2019 she has held a position on CAM's Student Advisory Council.

“In the College of Arts & Media we value, respect, and support student leadership,” says Dean Laurence Kaptain. “The students of CAM are in good hands to be represented and as Dean, I will benefit from her ideas, input, and intellect.”
