Calling All Artists: CU Denver's Emmanuel Gallery Has Many Open Calls for Entry
Artists are encouraged to submit their artwork to be considered for inclusion in a handful of upcoming exhibitions.

Performance Art Week (PAW) is an annual performance-based program open to all Auraria Campus students, alumni, and professional artists. Now in its eleventh year, this event is intended to offer a unique opportunity to activate space, engage viewers and to experience live performance and electronic art. We welcome all proposals, a selection of which will be invited to perform at Emmanuel Art Gallery on the Auraria Campus on April 18 and 19, 2023. To apply for PAW XI, click here. PAW Xtra Large is an evening of projected video pieces on April 18, 2023, at Denver’s 16th Street Clock Tower and on downtown Denver Theatre District LCD screens. To apply for PAW Xtra Large, click here. Submissions due by March 28, 2023.
As Per-Formed focuses on the tangible artifact often resulting from performative and time-based artworks. Performance artists working in all media (iron, audio, projection, social media, durational works, collaborations, spoken word) are encouraged to submit the intentional and arbitrary results of live performative artworks. Artists are asked to consider the visual aftermath of a live action: residual forms, props, outfits, photographs, video clips, publications, and more. Guilty: 2023 CU Denver Student Exhibition April 24 - May 4, 2023
The annual CU Denver student juried show, Guilty showcases students' technical skills and inventiveness across all forms of media. A diverse selection of two, three, and four-dimensional works display the unique art and design aesthetic choices of the individual submissions. This year's jurors are Stella Yu and David Griggs.All CU Denver students are welcome to submit artworks for consideration. To submit an artwork, click here. Made in Colorado May 20 - July 21, 2023
All Coloradans are encouraged to submit their original artwork for Made in Colorado. Highlighting the diverse and groundbreaking art being made in the Centennial State, Made in Colorado is a biannual exhibition that is back this year! The opening of this year's exhibition will coincide with American Alliance of Museums' (AAM) annual meeting, where thousands of museum professionals from across the country will converge in Denver. Continuing the tradition of inviting outside jurors to experience the incredible art being created in Colorado, this year's jurors will be internationally-renowned curators Kerry Brougher and Nora Halpern.
The exhibition will take place in CU Denver's Emmanuel Art Gallery and the CU Denver Experience Gallery (formerly Next Stage) May 20th through July 21st. To be considered for inclusion in Made in Colorado, click here. Submissions are due by April 1, 2023.
