Where Do Singer/Songwriter Graduates Find Careers?

Students develop the skills to live their dream of working as professional touring and recording musicians, performing nationally and internationally. Singer/Songwriter graduates are uniquely qualified to succeed in music publishing, to work as song pluggers, perform in combos and as studio musicians, write jingles, work in media, teach private lessons, and to be community music leaders. Others find success at the graduate level, studying advanced music performance, musicology, and music education.

How To Apply

The first step is to apply to CU Denver. In addition to being admitted to CU Denver, there is a an audition requirement for Singer/Songwriter and Songwriter Entrepreneur students (the audition requirements are the same for both majors): View Singer/Songwriter and Songwriter Entrepreneur Audition Information here. As noted on this page, applicants can audition by video or live on campus. Please note that auditions can be scheduled prior to an applicant being notified that they've been admitted to CU Denver.

Complete information about the MEIS audition track requirements and deadlines can be found on our How to Apply page.
