Angela Whaley

Angela's background is in tech startups and nonprofits. Her passion is blending technology, social impact, and music. Angela has started two music-related nonprofits: Music Minds Matter and Rocky Mountain Music Relief.

Angela has partnered with multiple independent artists to help with marketing including the Flobots and Chew Fu. She spent 10+ yrs at mGive bringing text to give to the U.S. with AT&T, HBO, NFL, American Red Cross, Stand Up To Cancer, Entertainment Industry Foundation, Comic Relief/Red Nose Day, Hand in Hand with Scooter Braun Projects & Den of Thieves, and others. Angela has worked on multiple tours to successfully implement fundraising technology and strategies including Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Demi Lovato, Scorpions, and Panic! At the Disco.

Angela is dual certified in Adult & Youth Mental Health First Aid. She teaches through the lens of being in the music community and has certified teams from Universal Music Group, 1824, Beggars Group, and over 100 music community members.

She has spoken twice at NFT.NYC about mental health in the NFT and web3 space. Angela is currently working with MTV and TaskForce to bring mental health tools to the general public through Mental Health Action Day and more. She is also consulting with Wistaverse, the first metaverse dedicated to protests and social actions.

Angela grew up in Kittredge, Colorado, just up the canyon from Red Rocks. She also plays the piano and the harp.
