Dango Rose Headshot

Dango Rose

Assistant Professor
  • Music and Entertainment Studies (CAM)

Dango Rose embraces a passion for music as a vital healing influence and spiritual path. He creates and collaborates to support harmony and truth. Born with a poet's soul and a warrior's heart his life's journey has been one of transformation.

For over two decades, Dango has traveled nationally and internationally in touring bands. In 2006, he co-founded Elephant Revival and has spent years performing and recording with this influential outfit that pioneered the genre Transcendental Folk.

Rose has penned band favorites like, "When I Fall", "The Pasture", "Asleep with the Light On", "Jet Lag Blues", etc.... When Elephant Revival went on hiatus in 2018, Dango took refuge in the recording studio and focused upon songwriting collaborations with scores of artists. During this time, he also pioneered his own brand of Artist Development Coaching and founded the Artist Empowerment Program. As journalist Marc Tonglen explains, “He reminds me of a cross between Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens and Ian Anderson. His voice is distinctive, words penetrating and his arrangements—on the edge, yet engaging.

When I Fall, Every Stone and The Pasture (all Rose's original compositions) have been performed with Elephant Revival accompanied by The Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Rose's music is available for streaming on all platforms, with "When I Fall" and "The Pasture" having received millions of streams.
