Katelynn Eckles is a CU Denver alum who has built her career across many facets of the music and arts industry. After studying both Music Business and Recording Arts, she went on to publish her thesis, "Recording Tap Dance as a Form of Musical Percussion: Microphone Types, Techniques, and Placements". This research connects her lifelong love for dance with the technical applications of audio engineering.
As a businesswoman, Katelynn works in venue management as the Business Operations Manager at non-profit music venue, Levitt Pavilion Denver, overseeing the business and financial operations of the 7,000-capacity amphitheater. Prior to Levitt Denver, she also worked at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Feyline Presents, and Superfly Presents.
Katelynn teaches from a practical perspective as an active leader in the music industry. She strives to connect students to resources, internships, and jobs in the industry while providing realistic mentorship to achieve their goals.
