Sam McGuire has been a recording arts faculty member at the University of Colorado Denver since 2006. Sam's primary areas of music technology research include 360 media, MIDI, sampling, and synthesis. In addition to writing four books on related topics, Sam composes and produces music in a wide range of styles. He regularly lectures in China and oversees the study-abroad program in Prague.
