Matthew Hoffman

Matt Hoffman has been teaching music for 15 years at various institutions, including Indiana University, CU Denver, MSU Denver, and MSU at DIME Denver. Matt is a musician, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and creative with a music theory and composition background. He earned his Bachelor of Music (Composition) at the University of Colorado Boulder and his Masters of Music (Music Theory) at Indiana University. He currently specializes in songwriting and music theory instruction.

As a performing songwriter, Matt has toured nationally and has shared the stage with Chris Stapleton, Shakey Graves, Langhorne Slim, Old 97’s, Sean Rowe, Jeffrey Foucault, Guided By Voices, Water Liars, Cory Branan, the Mother Hips, Dead Confederate, The Both (Aimee Mann & Ted Leo), Marco Benevento and many others. As a producer, he has had his music placed in "Diary of a Future President" on Disney+. Matt has also garnered national press in No Depression, Atwood Magazine and Glide Magazine.
